Calendar & Store |
CalendarThe Society has four business meetings, each year, one of which is the annual members only meeting in November to elect officers of the society. Additional programs and fund raising events are held at the discretion of the membership. There is an open house at the North School after the parade on Memorial Day. The fifth grade school children usually have a June visit to the North School to learn about old fashioned teaching and lessons. On the 4th of July, children, and anyone else interested, are invited to ring the bells at the Universalist Unitarian Church. In late August the Society has a bake sale at the North School, with other donated goods also for sale, as well as private booths. In September there is often a tour, or short hike, to an historic site of interest. In October we have an annual supper to which anyone interested in learning about, or wishing to join, the Society is invited. And a Christmas sale is held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
